As a Duke of Edinburgh accredited centre, we provide a variety of trips, visits and residentials which enable students from year 9 up to year 13 to achieve the requirements of each level of the award. Some of our students have achieved the Gold level award and have attended Buckingham Palace to be recognised for their achievements.
Amongst our staff, we have several qualified Duke of Edinburgh Lowland Leaders who lead Duke of Edinburgh residentials and we also work with a range of other local providers to ensure that our learners can engage in a broad range of activities to support them on their award journey.
As part of the Duke of Edinburgh award, we engage our students in a range of volunteering opportunities and we were proud to accrue 1001 hours of volunteering in a recent academic year, for which we received our certificate!
