At Alt Bridge, the Post-16 centre offers a vibrant and interleaved English and Functional Skills curriculum. Students will explore a range of texts, poems and plays which will expose students to the richness of English Literature and the application of Functional Skills. If learners have secured a grade 4 in English Language during Year 11, they will access a GCSE in English Literature in Post 16; similarly, if learners have previously secured a Functional Qualification, they will go on to achieve the next level in Post 16. Students will complete speaking and listening activities to ensure oracy is developed whilst enjoying a range of English Literature texts.
