Support for Parents and Carers

We’re here to listen, help and connect you with the right support. Our Wellbeing Hub gives families direct access to early help, Team Around the Family support, and onward referrals to trusted local agencies. This page explains what we offer in school, how we work with partners, and where you can find additional help and resources.

We are here to support parents and carers and to work together to co-produce support packages which consider the whole child.

Our Wellbeing Hub – Your First Point of Contact

Our Wellbeing Hub is designed to make support simple and accessible. Through the Hub, families can:

  • Access Early Help support quickly and without delay.
  • Take part in Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings to co‑ordinate plans.
  • Receive onward referrals and signposting to local agencies such as Family Hubs, CAMHS, and SEND services.

The Hub is led by our Wellbeing Hub Manager and supported by five Learning Mentors. All mentors can provide early help and work alongside families to improve attendance and co‑produce plans so that every student gets the support they need.

Specialist Support We Offer

  • A range of interventions and therapies for individual pupils in school.
  • Mental Health Support Team (MHST): We work closely with the local MHST, who can offer advice and guidance to parents and carers about children’s mental health needs and provide targeted support where appropriate.
  • Autism Support (OSSME – Autism Initiatives): We commission OSSME to deliver structured 1:1 or group interventions to help overcome barriers related to autism. These sessions focus on practical strategies and improving participation at school and home.
  • Commissioned Therapies: We also commission Occupational Therapy and Speech & Language Therapy for students. These services provide advice to parents and carers on regulation, communication, and functional skills, helping you support your child at home.

How to Access Our Hub

  • Speak to your child’s class teacher or tutor.
  • Contact the Wellbeing Hub directly by phone or email (details below).
