Here at Alt Bridge, we believe in providing our students with opportunities to explore their creativity and develop practical skills through Design Technology. This subject allows our students to design, make and evaluate a range of products, encouraging them to think critically, problem-solve and work collaboratively.
Throughout their time at Alt Bridge, students will explore a range of materials, tools and processes, such as woodwork, metalwork, food technology and electronics. They will learn how to use these materials effectively and safely, developing their practical skills along the way.
Design Technology at Alt Bridge is not just about making things; it’s about developing skills that can be applied to real-life situations. Our students will learn to identify problems, generate innovative solutions, and evaluate the success of their designs. They will also have the opportunity to learn about the impact of design on society and the environment.
We are proud of our Design Technology curriculum and the opportunities it provides for our students. Through hands-on learning experiences, they will develop creative thinking, problem-solving and practical skills that will serve them well in their future careers. We look forward to seeing what our students will design and create during their time at Alt Bridge School.
