Attendance

‘Every Child Matters, Every Day Matters'

(Click on graph below for a larger image)

All parents have a legal responsibility to ensure their child attends school every day and arrives on time.

Regular and punctual attendance is essential if children are to gain the greatest benefit from their education and feel part of the school community. Valuable learning time is lost when children are absent or late.

The school aims to achieve good attendance by operating an attendance policy within which pupils, staff and parents can work in partnership.

The school will monitor attendance and ensure quick and early intervention when a problem is identified.

All staff will encourage punctuality and good attendance and work closely with families to encourage god attendance.

The school will encourage good attendance among pupils through a system of rewards.
